 Area Programs Receive More Than $306,000 in Grants from UWCR - Thirteen area non-profits received $306,840 in grants from United Way of the Capital Region (UWCR) for programs that help meet priority health and human service needs.
UWCR awarded the grants as part of its Community Response Fund program. This year, the funding focused on programs that addressed the following community issues: mental health for children and seniors, access to health care, shelter and transitional housing and prevention services.
