Tip Off to Transportation Event: Nothing but Net
Bridges Society Raises Money to Help People in Road to Success Program
Who needs college basketball when you have nine local ballers with skills that go on for days? On March 19, United Way of the Capital Region’s Bridges Society held Tip Off to Transportation at the Cavoli Barn. The players crushed the $7,000 fundraising goal and raised an outstanding $29,270. The funds will be used to purchase cars for individuals in our Road to Success initiative, which helps people find – and keep jobs – with opportunities for advancement. The cars will be added to the Hope Rides fleet of cars. This is a new partnership with New Hope Ministries.
Congratulations to Wes Reohr from Capital Blue Cross who won the 3-point contest. Wes raised a remarkable $6,250 and brought his mad skills to the court.
